If your mouse or keyboard is connected to the PS/2 port and you want it to be recognized by SetPoint, youll need to activate the PS/2 driver. The problem is that if Setpoint is running, then XBC. X-Mouse Button Control however, does it just fine. For reasons I can't fathom, the Setpoint software simply cannot do this for this application (Sierra Chart). I want to simply make buttons 4 & 5 send keystrokes for a specific application. Does anyone know more about that? Maybe that's my only option? If so, which version do I need? I thought it was a standard feature found in every mouse software. Neither the more basic IntelliPoint software which comes with the driver nor the optional, more fancy, Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center have this feature! This is pretty aggravating. I just recently got a used MS Sidewinder X8 mouse. I love this feature because it allows me to keep the DPI lower, which is good for precision tasks, but at the same time I can still send the pointer all over the screen with little wrist movement. OS: Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP (or older), Windows 10.
